FISKARS: Spring novelties event

The presentation of shovels, hoes and other garden tools can also be interesting. Everything you need is relevant information about that. We made a study of gardening habits in Lithuania. The first such a study in many years attracted lots of media attention and revealed that gardening and the garden tools is relevant subject.

SITUATION
Fiskars presented spring novelties 2012 collection to Lithuanian market. The purpose of VRP | Hill + Knowlton Strategies was to organize a presentation event and attain big awareness (not less than 15 journalists and publications). Considering to poor media interest in marketing news, VRP were couple challenges: to find a solution, how to engage the media about Fiskars collection and convince the client, that additional actions are necessary.
 
SOLUTION
VRP’s analysis has shown, that is not enough publicly available statistics about gardening in our country. Considering to that, we suggested prepare and present the survey about gardening habits in Lithuania during the event. According survey results, gardening habits in the country are very vital, that’s why survey’s data was relevant not only for specialized but also for national media. The survey had value added for the client, because data revealed lots of new information about the market of Lithuania, popular gardening areas, selection of tools etc.
 
RESULT
16 journalists attended the event. 26 publications appeared in national and specialized media after the event.
